What substances are in OmieBox?
"The OmieBox is made of ABS, PP, food grade silicon and 18/8 304 stainless steel.
Is the OmieBox BPA-free?
Yes, OmieBox is BPA-free and complies with all FDA and CPSIA safety requirements.
Where is OmieBox made?
"OmieBox is made in China.
Is the OmieBox sealed?
Yes. "The OmieBox has three leak-proof compartments that hold up to 1 teaspoon of liquid. Wet food (soup, yoghurt, sauce) should be inside the thermos.
The compartments created using a baffle are not airtight. The divider is only for separating peas from carrots.
If you have the original OmieBox model, the square compartment is not sealed.
If you have a redesigned OmieBox, the square compartment is sealed.
Can the OmieBox be used in the microwave?
No, do not put the OmieBox in the microwave.
Can the OmieBox be washed in the dishwasher?
It is best washed by hand. Strong heat & harsh detergents used in dishwashers can damage the OmieBox. Gentle hand washing will keep the OmieBox in tip-top condition!
What are the dimensions and volume of the OmieBox?

Do's and don'ts
- Do not leave food in the OmieBox for more than 12 hours.
- Never put the thermos or OmieBox in the microwave, stove or any oven.
- Never cook the thermos.
- Always wash the thermos by hand.
- Food in thermoses can scald or burn the user. Be extremely careful and always check the temperature before use.
- If the contents of a thermos are left in the thermos for more than 24 hours, or if you think the food may be spoiled, use caution when opening the thermos. To avoid injury, direct the opening away from the user and others.
- Do not store carbonated beverages or dry ice in thermoses.
- Do not place OmieBox in the microwave or freezer.
- Always use extreme caution when dealing with hot contents.
- Do not fill the thermos beyond the lip below the neck.
- Do not close the lid of the thermos too tightly.
- Hot contents inside the thermos can cause pressure to build up and hot steam to escape. Open carefully to avoid burns.
- Take extra care when opening a thermos lid that is stuck, as the internal pressure can cause the lid to burst open violently. To avoid injury, always point it away from people and pets.
What if I can't open my OmieBox thermos?
If your OmieBox thermos lid is difficult to open, please email us at info@sockaroo.eu. Do not use excessive force, as forcing the lid open can cause a sudden release of pressure and increase the risk of an accident! Always keep the trapped lid away from people or pets to avoid injury.
Why is there a white mark on my lid?
You may notice a small white mark on the lid. You can be sure that this is not a manufacturing defect! This is where our machine injects the plastic into the mould to form the top lid. We have specifically placed an injection hole in this area because it forms the flattest lid possible (and a flat lid is the key ingredient for the OmieBox's tightness). This design results in a small white mark on the cap after forming.
